For example, an absolutely charming foe called Mustache Girl declares herself as an adversary early on but is essentially disregarded for hours while Hat Girl occupies herself conversing with trenchcoated crows and bargaining her soul to maniacal forest spirits.
Each of the worlds in A Hat in Time Torrent Magnet uncoils like this. You explore initially to acquire balls of yarn for new hats and gems for pins, but if you scrutinize diligently, you’ll discover more and more rewards. Sometimes it’s just an endearing allusion in a random book or an impish remark from an otherwise unimportant NPC. But there are also things you’ll have to strive harder to discover. Challenging platforming can lead to special collectibles called artifacts; you might find a crayon in one area and a box in another, and you have to arrange the full set in your spaceship.
