Following preparations, players initiate a raid by spawning on a spaceship, granting the option to engage in combat within an asteroid field or enter ground warfare by navigating to the central raid area on each map. This title earns its hardcore label through its swift time-to-eliminate and strong focus on sound, inventory management, and line of sight.
My encounters with this game prompt me to delve into the typical gaming experience it offers. Upon entering for the first time, players receive ample supplies and a substantial amount of currency to assist in challenging situations. The initial funding may seem generous, yet it introduces Catch-22 scenarios, which I’ll elaborate on shortly.
In the Barter interface, players can acquire resources at a considerable cost, with potential discounts based on their standing with specific factions. Elevating standings involves completing contracts, involving basic tasks like fetch or elimination quests, each with limited information. Waypoints are absent, requiring players to navigate based on their knowledge or the map they spawn on. Main quests, which lack time constraints, unlock crafting recipes, allowing the use of found materials to create equipment instead of relying solely on currency.

Credit is due to the team for envisioning an “easy” alternative to Escape From Tarkov. Playing solo may induce boredom and jumpiness after a few hours, especially after exploring all available raid stations. However, engaging with a friend or two can transform the experience into an enjoyable gaming session.
