To accomplish this, you must establish a couple of woodcutter stations and designate which trees you wish to cut down.
However, those trees won’t fall themselves. You must allocate workers to those recently established stations. Once done, these beavers will diligently engage in their tasks. While two of the beavers amass timber for construction, the others sit passively twiddling their fingers, and that simply won’t suffice if you aim to endure your initial dry spell.
It is crucial to confirm that each beaver is contributing to some form of mission, or else you risk the chance of another beaver extinction due to dehydration or hunger. You must set the remaining beavers to labor. Some should be assigned the duty of collecting fruits from nearby shrubs, while others can construct a liquid pump at the adjacent riverbank.
Following a laborious day, the unfortunate beavers will be prepared for a restful night’s sleep, yet unfortunately, they won’t have a residence to sleep in. Observing those petite creatures crash outdoors like that is challenging, so I opted to construct a small abode for them to slumber collectively. Little did I know that they would wink, nudge, and snooze together because the population of “New Damver Springs” increased to seven. Hooray!
Timberborn Torrent Magnet is divided into cycles, with each arid spell signifying the conclusion of a cycle before commencing anew with a fresh one. These cycles are haphazard, with the selected difficulty influencing how often and enduring the droughts will be. The initial settlement I would label as a triumph was an easy difficulty. With that configuration, I noticed the drought occurred approximately every 15 days and only persisted for a few days. It provided ample time to accumulate a plethora of carrots, water, and logs while acquainting myself with the intricacies of the diverse systems.
As you advance, the droughts will manifest more frequently and endure longer. If you have constructed and deployed your city proficiently, the droughts become much more controllable. A pivotal element in adeptly managing the groundwork and restoration of drought is exploiting the priority system. You can designate priorities to tasks and construction endeavors.
By doing so, you can compile a series of construction tasks and swiftly shift from one focus to another, depending on your necessity. If you’re deficient in sustenance, you might assign a higher construction priority to the farm, with a lower priority allocated to the residences in the neighboring section down the street. Similar strategies can be applied to employment as well.
Timberborn Torrent is an immensely gratifying game to engage in once you establish a rhythm and have an autonomous system in operation. However, you can’t persist indefinitely without some manual interference because, as previously mentioned, droughts can and will intensify. Occasionally, I found myself leaving the game on autopilot for a few minutes, observing the gears turn in the intricate mechanism I had spent hours devising.
